Briley Witch Chronicles v1.0.1 Released.

Added WASD keys. Just press F1 to switch between default keys and WASD keys. The WASD set uses M for select, and N for back.

Updated the sign at Calibor's house to tell you where to find Calibor's workshop. Also When Smokey suggests Briley should find Sebastian, he suggests she goes to Calibor's workshop.

Fixed an issue with the Vision spell using up a water flask and not giving back an empty flask.

Updated the manual for the new key set.

NB: if you're saving to cart, don't use this update without first saving your progress to disk (so you can load it back from disk), otherwise the new version will overwrite the save games on the cart image and you'll lose progress. For people using TheC64 and save states, it's best to continue with the current version of the game (unless you want to start again) as progress will be lost.

Hi Sarah, minor thing but I happened to visit the beehive for the first time while Smokey was off scouting the town (looking into the ill villagers mystery)... under those circumstances there's a small bug in that Briley has a chat with Smokey even though he's not there 😀

This is odd. I downloaded v1.0 without problems, but itch.io does not allow me to download 1.0.1. I even clicked on "Buy Now" and then on the "I have already paid for this" link, but Briley Witch Chronicles does not appear in the list when I specify the address I used for PayPal transaction. It's like we're talking about a whole different game.

I just went to the upper right of itch.io, dropped down the menu, chose "My Library" and the 1.01 update was there waiting for me.

It's never the normal downloads after you buy it. It will appear at the top of the page saying "Download Now"  Weird, but that's how itch does it.

I just upgraded to this new version, for anyone using RetroPie and Vice:

I made a copy of any D64 disk and renamed it to BrileySave.D64, copied it to the Pi, and in Vice go to the disk drive and tell it to create new disk, then select the BrileySave.D64 and it will overwrite it. Then you can load the first version of Briley, save the game to the new disk and load the save in the new version of  the game with no probs and go back to saving on the cart if you wish.

Hi Sarah. I'm noticing that saving games to disk while a DolphinDos kernal is installed doesn't work as expected.

Okay, will look at that (if I can find DolphinDos ROMs to test).
